Main possibilities

Portable Ultrasonic Hardness Tester MET-U1
  • measurements of hardness of metals and alloys on standardized in Russia hardness scales: Rockwell (HRC), Brinell (HB), Vickers (HV) and Shore (HSD).
  • comes in a set with probes for 15N and 50N loads (NEW!).
  • three additional scales H1,H2, H3 for calibration (upon request) of other hardness scales (Rockwell "B", Superficial Rockwell, Leeb etc.), and also hardness scales for metals different in their characteristics from steel (for example non-ferrous metals, alloys, cast iron etc.);
  • use of tensile strength Rm scale in accordance with GOST 22791-77 for determination of tensile strength of articles made of carbon steel of pearlitic category by means of automatic recalculation from Brinell hardness scale (HB);
  • connecting upon request shortened probes U1/2.

Distinctive features

Implementation of ultrasonic contact impedance method (UCI).

Hardness testing:

  • of articles having any weight and thickness starting from 1 mm - inaccessible for dynamic hardness testers (small articles, structures with thin walls, pipes, reservoirs, steel sheets etc.);
  • without any visible indent on the tested article surface (crankshafts necks, mirrored surface, knives);
  • metal coatings;
  • articles of awkward shape, in hard-to-reach places.

Principle of operation

Determination of frequency of indenter free oscillation (acoustic resonator with Vickers diamond pyramid) under the constant effort of 1,5 kgf or 5 kgf.

Limitations

The use for testing articles with coarse grain structure (for example, cast iron) or mass more than 10 kg , or thickness less than 1 mm is limited. For a detailed consultation, please, contact our specialists.

Guarantee and technical maintenance

  • 1 year of guarantee maintenance and the further technical support.

Operation demonstration

It is possible that our specialist can demonstrate the operation at your premises within Moscow.
